Tarte Cosmetics Haul

Today, I am here writing another exciting beauty post! My love for makeup has grown from something I did to cover up the redness and pimples on my face to being a hobby I love doing, creating new and different looks with various colours. This has then lead me to start my own Youtube channel! You can view it here!

After watching a video and reading articles about companies that test on animals, I searched for a list which had a complete list of those brands. I was sad to see that most of my makeup products were from those companies! So I was in need of some makeup that was cruelty free! This was what lead to me to purchase from Tarte Cosmetics. They’re a cruelty free company and their products are made with natural derivatives. I had wanted to buy from Tarte before, however they’re certainly a high end brand.

In this post, I’ll share with you many photos of the products I purchased and I’ll tell you a little bit about them too.

To start off with, I’d just like to mention the postage rates. I live in Australia which can be a pain when purchasing from companies based in the U.S.A. Originally I had three products which summed up to about $65. When I went to the checkout, I found out that shipping was $23! I thought that was a bit over the top. At the time, Tarte had a deal where free shipping was available if you spent over $91. I figured that I may as well buy another product which would make my total cost over $91 rather than pay for shipping. So that’s what I did.

So the first product I bought was the Magic Wands Brush Set. I fell in love with them when I first saw them and I had to buy them. Not that I really needed more makeup brushes, but I figured why not!? They looked absolutely stunning! The colours were bright and colourful and the design was so creative and I’m a sucker for creative things. Even the box and the tissue paper were gorgeous!

The set retails at $55 AUD and includes:

  • powder brush
  • contour brush
  • blending eyeshadow brush
  • shading eyeshadow brush
  • liquid foundation brush

Next up, I bought the Skin Squad Deluxe Discovery Set as it allows you to try mini sizes of some of their products. I thought that this would be a good idea as this was my first time using Tarte cosmetics.

This set cost me $27 AUD and includes:

  • deluxe deep dive cleansing gel
  • deluxe Rainforest of the Sea™ 4-in-1 setting mist
  • deluxe drink of H2O hydrating boost moisturizer
  • deluxe BB tinted treatment primer in light or medium
  • deluxe lights, camera, lashes™ 4-in-1 mascara
  • deluxe Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in thrilled (dusty mauve)

I also purchased another set called the Wide Awake Set. This one also included some samples of their products that I wanted to try.

For $18 AUD, you get to try:

  • pack your bags 911 undereye rescue patches (single pair)
  • deluxe maracuja C-brighter™ eye treatment
  • deluxe lights, camera, lashes™ 4-in-1 mascara

Lastly, I just so happened to see that there was an eyeshadow palette plus a mascara for $35! This was called the Eye Love You set. I couldn’t go passed getting a Tarte eyeshadow palette for that price since their other palettes are $60 and up!

Although my bank account was looking a little sad after this purchase, I was certainly more than delighted when my parcel arrived! So far I have loved these items and it’s nice knowing I’m using cruelty free products too!
